Overview

As an Electrical Engineer at Lutron, you will contribute to high-stakes projects from the start. Your efforts will help to maintain our market position as the world leader in smart lighting and shading systems.

Electrical Engineers at Lutron participate within a cross-functional team to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative, high-quality consumer products and services for commercial and residential use.

There are a variety of technical areas throughout the product lifecycle that you could encounter from day one, such as:

  • Power electronics, power supply design, and electric motors
  • Use of active components such as power MOSFETs, thyristors, and integrated circuits
  • Design for electromagnetic compatibility, noise immunity, and thermal dissipation
  • Analog circuit design, analysis, and verification
  • Microcontroller hardware implementation

Responsibilities

  • Design of circuits, including stress analysis, worst-case design, and testing
  • Construction of prototypes, theoretical models, and simulations
  • Frequent collaboration with RF, mechanical, and embedded engineers
  • Participation in PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design process and product design reviews
  • Design and qualification for internal, domestic, and international safety and standards
  • Design for manufacturing, testing, and assembly, including tester development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for each degree earned
  • 0-3 years' experience in a related field
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time for inter-office collaboration, site visits, etc.
