Job Overview

Partnership with Macy's Senior Manager providing leadership and management support. Effectively leveraging Project Planner’s contributions to all Macy's Store Environment project categories including:

• New Store Capital Projects, Renovations and Expansions
• Vendor shop design reviews and their successful integration
• Fixture and Service Initiatives that drive sales opportunities and improve customer journey
• Minimum Standard Upgrades and Customer Facing Projects
  
  

Essential Functions

• Responsible for the organization, management, development and coordination of all plans, fixture requirements and data reports for any assigned project
• Responsible to collaborate with all Store Environment partners for all required information to develop scope and block plans, determine merchandise flow and execute fixture plans
• Responsible to develop presentation quality plans that adhere to all Store Environment and building code guidelines for distribution/presentation to senior management
• Responsible for completing or managing the completion of multiple projects simultaneously
• Review final drawings for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to key Store Planning & Project Delivery guidelines
• Responsible to train others on Store Planning & Project Delivery project and construction document procedures when applicable
• Be proactive identifying and initiating best practice processes
• Responsible for overseeing/directing Consultants on all project planning issues, ensuring all scope, schedule and project deliverable goals are satisfied
  
  

Qualifications And Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture preferred; degrees in related disciplines will be considered
• 6+ years of interior space planning and project management experience preferably with at least 3 of these within retail store environments.
• Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
• Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
• Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
• Ability to direct and lead a team
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
• Proficient expertise in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Tools Suite
