Essential Functions
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial planning and budgeting processes for the technology division.
- Prepare financial forecasts, analyze variances, and provide insightful recommendations to enhance financial performance.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, identifying potential risks and opportunities in a proactive manner.
- Collaborate with the technology leadership team to align financial goals with strategic objectives.
- Assess the financial viability of technology projects and initiatives, ensuring they align with the company's overall financial strategy.
- Conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses, ROI assessments, and sensitivity analyses to support investment decisions.
- Collaborate with technology leaders to create business cases for new projects and provide financial insights for senior management evaluation.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports and presentations for technology stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Provide regular updates on financial performance, highlighting key trends and insights to drive strategic discussions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles related to technology finance.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize return on investment for technology projects.
- Work closely with technology managers to track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and allocate budgets efficiently.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to assess and mitigate financial risks associated with technology initiatives.
- Identify potential financial exposures and develop risk management strategies to safeguard the company's financial interests.
- Evaluate and negotiate technology vendor contracts, ensuring favorable financial terms and value for money.
- Review vendor performance and invoices, validating compliance with contractual obligations.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals dedicated to the technology division.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment, promoting continuous learning and skill development.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced finance degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in finance, with a substantial focus on technology finance, financial planning, and analysis.
- Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role, demonstrating strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting processes, and financial modeling.
- Familiarity with technology trends, IT cost structures, and project financials in the technology industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to technology teams.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of effectively conveying complex financial concepts to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a high level of integrity in financial reporting and decision-making.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools commonly used in finance and accounting functions.
