Job Overview

The Senior Manager, SEO Content Lead plays a strategic role within the in-house SEO team. They collaborate with the Director of SEO to drive organic growth through planning and executing strategic initiatives. This role oversees a team of specialists responsible for on-page optimizations. Additionally, they are responsible for measuring and reporting SEO content performance. The SEO Content Lead collaborates closely with creative, project management, and site merchandising teams across multiple business units.

The ideal candidate has experience organizing and managing a robust SEO content strategy including editorial content, informational guides, category level copy blocks, transactional content and more. It is crucial that the candidate also understands, in-depth, SEO best practices enabling them to clearly and effectively articulate complex ideas to a non-SEO audience. They perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

  • Develop an SEO content calendar that includes but not limited to enterprise priorities, new product additions, marketing & social alignment, seasonal events such as Black Friday which will inform the optimization strategy.
  • Manage partnerships with third-party content vendors to ensure the copy delivered is consistent, optimized and driving incremental traffic.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of implemented strategies in generating increased traffic and organic revenue.
  • Represent SEO content related strategies in cross-functional business meetings and workgroups.
  • Monitor and analyze existing content into ensure freshness and competitiveness.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends and developments, share new techniques with the team, and provide SEO education and training to the broader group.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of SEO category specialists and SEO content writers responsible for day-to-day SEO tasks.

Competencies: We encourage candidates with either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field to apply.

  • 6-9 years experience.
  • Experience managing large scale complex omni-channel retail campaigns with a proven ability to improve click share, traffic, conversions, sales, and ROAS.
  • Experience optimizing across consumer journey (awareness, consideration, and demand) against key KPIs (CPA, CPI, ROAS, ROI, etc.)
  • Ability to leverage analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis to identify trends and provide perspective recommendations. Proven ability to execute recommendations.
  • Experience working with various attribution systems and platforms, i.e., Adobe, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Hands on experience with Skai platform (formerly Kenshoo), and shopping feed management tools like ProductsUp.
  • Experience in testing and experimenting with different ad formats or hypothesis to optimize campaign performance.
  • Experience leading conversations with senior leadership and cross-function teams.
  • Have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives simultaneously, ensuring that each is completed, at times against competing deadlines.
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels.
  • Experience with team management with an ability to lead and manage a team of associates and specialist, providing guidance, coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs.
