Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician II will perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the installation, repair, maintenance and operation of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, environmental controls and life safety systems. This role is based out of our Corporate Offices located in Springdale, Ohio.

The schedule for this new role for a full-time hire would be Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM. The schedule for a part-time hire would be 3 days a week and would be discussed at time of interview. May be needed on a weekend in case of a rare emergency.

Essential Functions

  • Receives/reviews/coordinates work orders for the following:
  • Maintenance and testing of fire protection equipment
  • Provide/oversee preventive maintenance on all mechanical equipment
  • Understand/oversee operation/maintenance of chiller plant (pumps, tower, etc.)
  • Maintenance of heating/cooling of office areas
  • Operation of energy management system and control systems
  • Maintenance/repair of electrical systems
  • Understand/oversee maintenance/repair of domestic water system, pumps, water heaters, drainage system
  • Moves/changes/meeting setups and special events setups
  • Ability to work with vendors directly
  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality

Qualifications & Competences

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience required.
  • Knowledge for basic qualifications acquired through schooling, seminars and on-the-job training.
  • Systems Maintenance Administrator designation from BOMA helpful.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports, procedure manuals, blue prints and schematics.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of energy management systems/HVAC/electrical/plumbing
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.

Physical Demands

This position involves use of a computer and office equipment. May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching; will involve the use of ladders and other equipment. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
