Job Overview

The Assistant, Private Brands Portfolio Management, supports the Private Brands Strategy and Innovation team in all aspects. This role involves conducting brand research and analysis, including performance reporting, prospecting, and providing data for brand refreshes or updates. The Assistant also ensures operational excellence within the team and among cross-functional partners.

What You Will Do

  • Schedule key milestones and manage the evolving Private Brand roadmap.
  • Support brand research and analysis, including current brand performance.
  • Conduct image research and assist with formatting and copy editing content.
  • Support processes and tools to maintain brand discipline.
  • Assist in developing content and training materials as needed.
  • Provide general support to the team with additional duties as assigned.
  • Immerse in understanding the brands and their customers.

Skills You Will Need

Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, schedule key milestones, and maintain an evolving roadmap with precision.

Effective Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate information to internal partners and cross-functional teams.

Brand Research and Analytical Skills: Proficiency in conducting brand research, analyzing performance data, and providing insights for brand updates and refreshes.

Collaboration and Partnership: Ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, working effectively within a team environment.

Customer Focus: A relentless commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs, ensuring that brand strategies align with customer expectations.

Proficiency in Tools and Software: Skilled in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Canva for content creation, formatting, and presentation.

Attention to Detail: Capability to perform image research, content formatting, and copy editing with accuracy and attention to detail.

Entrepreneurial Spirit: A proactive mindset with a high standard for self and team, comfortable with iterative processes and evolving strategies.

Adaptability and Agility: Willingness to learn, adapt, and develop new skills as needed, demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic environment.

Operational Excellence: Supportive of processes and tools that ensure brand discipline and operational effectiveness within the team.

Who You Are

  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 1+ years of experience in retail, merchandising, brand management, or marketing (including internships).
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
