Title and Summary
Lead Product Manager- Technical OverviewThe Mastercard Payment Gateway Services (MPGS) is looking for a Lead Product Manager-Technical (PMT) to drive our gateway strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering innovative solutions, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and has good communication skills. The role requires a good blend of technical, business and domain knowledge to be successful.
Role
• Serve as a Product owner in an agile environment responsible for creating functional and non-functional requirements
• Decompose the functional and non-functional requirements into user stories, prioritize the backlog, define the acceptance criteria, accept the stories and features.
• Drive and own solutioning for approved initiatives and features that align to strategic product roadmap
• Review solution proposals from other PMTs and provide recommendations by applying design and systems thinking
• Closely collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders globally including Software Engineering, Product Management, Technical Ops, Business Ops, Global Product Integration, Customer Implementation, Customer Technical Services, InfoSec, Content Strategy and Delivery teams
• Work closely with Technology and Product teams and assist in end-to-end solutioning across different platforms of MPGS
• Participate in Architecture and Infosec reviews to ensure the solution adheres to Mastercard policies and standards
• Facilitate trainings and workshops on product functionality with internal and external stakeholders
• Work on System/Product documentation and capture product capabilities and translate into customer-facing implementation guides
• Develop and implement new metrics into measurement techniques in collaboration with stakeholders (e.g., Architecture, BizOps, Engineering, etc); work with development teams to develop reports to monitor them
• Perform Cube/Multidimensional data analysis and apply business intelligence/analytics to form a feedback loop into the backlog and to inform the design of new platform feature requests
• Apply business and technical capabilities within own discipline to coach, mentor and develop junior employees
All About You
• Strong Analytical/Problem solving skills
• Autonomous and must be able to work independently in a very fast paced environment
• Experience defining and building cloud-native software products as a platform at scale
• Strong experience in decision making based on data sets and must participate towards process improvements
• 7-10 years of experience in business/systems analysis, preferably from a product development background
• Must possess strong communication skills (oral and written). Demonstrate experience in challenging the product and technical communities when appropriate to build proper solutioning
• Experience in agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
• Experience building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, partnering with, and influencing teams while maintaining the respect for the individuals
• Experience on Gateway and Payment processing preferrable
• Knowledge of authorization, clearing and/or settlement systems and processes
• Demonstrate leadership in taking accountability, acting with a sense of urgency, and delivering plans with passion, ambition, and aptitude
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science; advanced degree (e.g., MSc, MBA) will be highly regarded
• Must exhibit good adaptability and motivation
