Overview:

Overview
The Infrastructure Design team is responsible for helping design and support the infrastructure needed for Mastercard’s applications, platforms, and systems. As a Systems Platform Architect, you’ll work alongside experienced architects and engineers to ensure that infrastructure designs meet Mastercard’s standards for security, scalability, and availability.

You’ll be involved early in the project lifecycle, assisting with documentation and collaborating with application teams and other stakeholders. Your main focus will be learning the infrastructure design process and contributing to the creation of Technical Architecture Documents (TADs).

This role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of internet technologies, web servers, and security principles, who is eager to grow their skills in infrastructure design.

Role Responsibilities
Assist in gathering and documenting infrastructure requirements from application teams and stakeholders.
Support the creation and maintenance of technical documents, diagrams, and architecture models.
Help ensure infrastructure designs are up to date and aligned with Mastercard’s standards.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving basic infrastructure issues under guidance.
Learn to evaluate new technologies and contribute to discussions on their potential use.
Collaborate with team members to support infrastructure components and deployments.
Contribute to performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration tasks as assigned.

About You
Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and web middleware.
Knowledge of internet infrastructure concepts such as load balancers, firewalls, and cloud technologies.
Knowledge of Database technologies.
Interest in learning about Zero Trust Architecture and micro-segmentation.
Exposure to tools like Microsoft Visio.
Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on assigned tasks.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Comfortable working in a team environment and open to feedback and mentorship.
