Manager, Commercial AcceptanceJob Overview:Global business-to-business (B2B) payment market is in the range of USD 120 trillion. Most of it happens on non-card rails, representing a tremendous growth opportunity for Mastercard’s Commercial Products and Solutions.
As the Manager, B2B Acceptance, Commercial Solutions for Brazil, you will become a Subject Matter Expert and driver of B2B acceptance, working closely with our regional and global product teams, business development teams, and acquirers to deliver incremental B2B volume. In addition, you will be responsible for leading the B2B acceptance strategy within the division. To accomplish your GDV growth objectives, you will become a Large Market Commercial Products thought leader with a robust understanding of corporate supplier payments.
You will report to the Director B2B Corporate Acceptance and partner with the Regional and Market Leads to achieve objectives that contribute to market's objectives and priorities. Your relationship and effectiveness working with the market and sales teams will be crucial for successful strategy execution.
Major Accountabilities:
• Lead and execute on strategies to remove operational barriers to drive B2B Acceptance.
• Provide thought leadership to the global product team on B2B Merchant/acquiring/fintech issues, pain points, and opportunities.
• Lead market research activities to build B2B Acceptance trends and insights.
• Build Educational collateral to drive B2B Acceptance across the ecosystem.
• Liaison with broader Corporate Solutions organization and be the champion of Corporate Acceptance to build products and solutions.
• Collaborate across internal and external partners to drive incremental merchant commercial payment acceptance.
• Work directly with Issuers, Acquirers, and Account Management teams on a day-to-day basis to leverage commercial acceptance assets and partnerships and grow commercial product portfolios.
• Ensure careful and appropriate utilization of Mastercard resources to support achievement of objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in business
• Experience:
• 5-8 years prior related work experience related work experience in B2B merchant/acquiring product and/or business development and strategy, with at least two years of management experience desirable
• Track record of building effective supplier value propositions on acquiring side
• Strong sales and consultative experience with executive presence
• Data skills and Excel expertise with an ability to drive insights and build strategy
• Good knowledge of the B2B payments industry, trends, Merchant & Commerce landscape, acquirer economics, and value chain; experience in the Accounts Receivables space will be a strong plus
• Strong team player, ability to collaborate with peers, and proven ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Must have proven sales record and the ability to execute at pace in a dynamic environment
• Must have strong business/market/financial analysis and project management skills.
• Skills/ Abilities: Bilingual: Portuguese/English or (Spanish desirable)
• Ability to interact and coordinate effectively with internal and external business partners
• Business Acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results to the customer and MasterCard
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team
• Work Conditions: Some travel required and a General office environment.
