This is a critical role that combines operational ownership with strategic initiative leadership, directly influencing the reliability, availability, and future growth of our open finance ecosystem. The ideal candidate is passionate about building infrastructure that enables innovation, is comfortable navigating ambiguity, and is eager to engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact results.

Role
In this externally-facing and cross-functional position, you will:
• Own and manage day-to-day support and engagement with financial institutions that power Mastercard’s data access infrastructure.
• Resolve connectivity issues and ensure seamless support for legacy connections, which continue to contribute a significant volume of access traffic and connected institutions.
• Partner with product, engineering, analytics, and legal teams to ensure successful onboarding, prioritization, and troubleshooting of both existing and new data access points.
• Drive strategic initiatives, such as third-party contracting, sprint planning, and reporting enhancements that improve network scalability and reliability.
• Represent Mastercard with data providers and external industry groups, contributing to a positive brand reputation and trusted partnerships.

All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should:
• Possess strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders at financial institutions and within Mastercard.
• Be a systems thinker who can operate at both the strategic and tactical level—able to zoom out to drive cross-functional initiatives and zoom in to resolve individual connectivity issues.
• Be proactive, highly organized, and skilled at driving outcomes across multiple workstreams, including operational support and long-range planning.
• Have a working understanding of digital financial services and the importance of data access infrastructure in consumer experiences.
• Be confident managing project timelines, issue escalation, and execution against value-driven business targets.
• Be fluent in building performance tracking frameworks that support team transparency, reporting, and decision-making.
Additional capabilities that are a plus:
• Experience working with or for financial institutions, fintechs, aggregators, or technology partners in the open finance ecosystem.
• Familiarity with data connectivity protocols, API infrastructure, or data governance principles.
• Demonstrated success in a highly cross-functional, stakeholder-heavy environment.
