Who You'll Work With

You’ll work in our London office as part of our global Client Finance team, coordinating with other members of the finance team both in the UK and outside the UK, partners, external procurement teams and other internal teams.
This role will involve working closely with partners of the firm for pricing and budgeting projects to ensure accurate revenue recognition, controlling and managing costs, and liaising with clients on finance and procurement aspects

What You'll Do

You will perform daily and month end activities for the Finance team with responsibilities primarily in WIP and Revenue control.
You shall manage over 100 active projects end-to-end and deal with diverse and changing situations. Specific activities will include, but not be limited to, reviewing budgets with partners for appropriate pricing, billing schedule, fee and expense budget, and investment amount if relevant, resolving WIP balances by applying knowledge of WIP management to determine appropriate approach, providing support and guidance to partners and their assistants on best practices relating to working capital management, monitoring finance metrics in-line with firm policies, managing accounts receivable for all your projects, contributing to initiatives and undertaking project work as directed by the Finance team manager and performing ad hoc reporting as needs arise.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification (e.g. bachelor’s degree) in accounting or finance
  • 4+ years accounting experience
  • Experience and in depth knowledge of working capital management and revenue management
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and best practice in a large organization
  • Experience with multi-currency billings and a strong knowledge of VAT is essential
  • Good understanding of the location of work rule and the impact this has on where projects can be opened
  • In depth understanding of WIP management and experience in assessing the impact of different approaches
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and other Microsoft suite software
