Who You'll Work With

As a member of the MSC-X MAKE team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with over 100 skilled professionals at one of our Client Capabilities Centers located in Madrid, Lisbon, or Wroclaw.
At MSC-X, you will be immersed in an environment rich with technical expertise in the fields of Manufacturing and Supply Chain, supported by a comprehensive suite of both proprietary and third-party tools designed to expedite diagnostics and drive transformative processes.
Additionally, you will be part of a global network, with significant MSC-X hubs in North America and India, enhancing our collaborative and innovative capabilities across continents.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of digital manufacturing innovation. Your deep passion for the field, combined with your proven academic or professional background, will drive you to continuously expand your knowledge and apply cutting-edge practices to assist our clients. You'll be responsible for extracting data from key shopfloor manufacturing systems like MES, SCADA, IoT devices, and PLCs. Using this data, you'll leverage analytical tools to pinpoint and implement improvements across various operational processes.
Moreover, you will play a critical role in developing new digital tools. These tools will not only enhance the capabilities of McKinsey consultants but will also be directly implemented in client operational environments, making a tangible impact on their business. You'll have the opportunity to work across a range of industries, collaborating closely with McKinsey’s manufacturing experts. While your initial focus will be on European clients, the scope of your role may grow to include supporting projects in other global regions. This is a dynamic position that promises growth, challenge, and the chance to be part of leading-edge changes in the manufacturing sector.
While portions of the work may be remote, you will be also actively traveling to client sites and engaging closely with both clients and the broader McKinsey team. This dynamic part of the job will accelerate your learning and enable you to focus intensely on achieving substantial, tangible impacts for our clients.
In between client studies, you will bring your learnings back to our internal team to further improve and automate data capture, analytics and presentation of insights to clients. You will help us strategize next-generation approaches where we either develop proprietary McKinsey tools or selectively partner with third party companies. Through your work, you’ll have opportunities to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. You’ll gain new skills and build on the strengths you bring to the firm.
