Who You'll Work With

You will work with the Partner Award Accounting Team (PAAT) in our Gurugram office.
Apart from key responsibilities, this team also supports firm leadership in key strategic decisions and mobility using analysis and modelling, and future direction of partner and firm related policies. You will closely work with Partner Tax, Partner Compensation, Firm Legal, Firm Finance controllership and Corporate Tax. This is an internal, non-client facing role, part of overall PAAT.

Your impact within our firm

You will manage partner compensation delivery in complex countries based on McKinsey’s guidelines. You will work directly with one or more Partner Tax Directors based in Europe to handle different countries.
You should be able to understand partner compensation monthly accounting for assigned countries and work with local offices and teams to ensure it happens in accordance with the firm’s policies. You will work on complex bonus calculations and their accruals in firm’s books.
You will oversee the process for terminating partners in line with Tax and Legal guidelines, as well as track and ensure completion of accounting for them. You will be part of the TaxPack process to ensure firm related income is correctly and accurately provided to partners and their tax professionals. Other analysis and central accounting related tasks will be assigned to you on a time-to-time basis. You will also work on assessing and improving partner communication processes, technology and systems and help with change management within and outside the team.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Degree in accounting with 3+ years of experience
  • Proven record of finance background along with excel and system skills
  • Excellent communication and relation-building skills with senior stakeholders
  • Attention to detail is key; this is a ‘zero-error’ process
  • Ability to manage large amount of data and ensure processing accuracy
  • Compensation related experience is good to have but not necessary
  • Project management experience is desirable
  • Confident and collaborative team player
