Who You'll Work With

You will be based in San Jose, Costa Rica, as part of our Social sector, Healthcare, and Public sector Entities (SHaPE) team. The SHaPE practice is one of 10 industry practices within the firm and has a mission of measurably improving individuals’ lives, livelihoods and health and creating safer and more just communities around the world.
You’ll work with our analytics team alongside data scientists, experts, consultants and clients on projects that use complex data and advanced modeling to solve client problems and deliver significant measurable impact. We have the freedom to try new ideas, experiment and are expected to be constantly learning and growing. You'll be based in Costa Rica, but collaborate with our Healthcare Analytics teams across North America in different time zones.

Your impact within our firm

You will be working with our HQ Team. MyHQ is a web-based performance management suite designed to provide transparency and insight into workforce, clinical operations and external spend for frontline leaders and operators. The web-application allows department and entity leaders to closely monitor key metrics and turn insights into action by understanding drivers of performance over time.
You’ll be running pipelines to push client data to product quality assurance or product environment, as well as running quality checks, validating data files and flagging potential concerns to clients. Additionally you’ll interact with client IT and analytics team to partner on product governance while supporting MyHQ users with access or answering product-related questions.
You will be actively engaged with front-line IT and analytics client teams involved in helping hospitals implement products that enable operational improvements and organizational enhancements that boost cost effectiveness and improve quality of care for patients. You will leverage your expertise to take ownership of tenure-appropriate client relationships and guide clients through appropriate governance discussions and build long lasting relationships.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply during change transformation efforts with clients.
  • Strong analytical Excel skills
  • Interest in analytics and understanding how provider workforce and clinical operations work.
  • Experience in the field of business intelligence, application development, database development and ETL and/or data analysis domains with Big Data: Python, SQL, Hive and/or Spark knowledge
  • Ability to translate business requirements and excellent time management skills (manage estimated workload according to scope)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Travel expectation: less than 10%
