Human Resource Generalist, Mobility, Immigration & Eligibility
Job ID: 96870
Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
Your Impact
You will be based in our Gurugram office as part of our HR Team and play a critical role in managing immigration, mobility and compliance processes for colleagues across our India Centers. This team works closely with Professional Development Managers, HR & Talent Managers as well as function and service line leadership to help them achieve their full potential through holistic interventions in team engagement, performance, compliance and organizational health. You will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to facilitate gold-standard processes in support of the people side of our firm’s mission: to be a great firm that attracts, develops, excites, and retains exceptional people and to mitigate risk on behalf of our firm.
In this role, you will oversee administrative processes related to immigration for new hires and existing colleagues, as well as eligibility and compliance matters associated with colleague moves, including mobility transfers, cross-border staffing and remote working arrangements.
You will ensure compliance with all associated legal requirements and support exceptional risk management.
You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including Recruiting Managers, Professional Development Managers, service line leadership, internal and/or external legal counsel to ensure mobility, immigration and eligibility (MIE) compliance for all colleagues moving in and out of our India Centers. This includes coordinating office approvals, conducting due diligence for mobility cases, submitting cases to the Global Mobility Operations Center of Excellence, and facilitating relocation and onboarding for transfers. You will be collecting and preparing all supporting documentation needed for visa processing or partnering with external counsel to ensure receipt.
You will also address broader eligibility risks, such as tax, benefits, and employment law considerations, by partnering with Immigration Legal team and other relevant expert teams to develop solutions.
In addition to process management, you will communicate and interpret MIE policies and procedures to protect the firm and its members from potential risk.
You will help refine and optimize immigration and mobility processes to enhance efficiency and compliance, ensuring that the firm maintains gold-standard practices in these areas to support the different types of visa categories and work permits within geography.
You will stay current on local regulations and coordinating with internal/external counsel on any changes.
Your Growth
Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you’ll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
When you join us, you will have:
- Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
- A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
- Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, mental health, and vision coverage for you, your spouse/partner, and children.
Your qualifications and skills
- Undergraduate degree; Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred
- 5+ years of corporate and/or professional services experience in mobility & immigration processes
- Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s), with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
- Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
- Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables
- Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
- Ability to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited or no notice at times
