Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

Your Impact

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager II with product/service/project/program management and software development experience, to drive impact through discovering, defining and overseeing the delivery and rollout of features that solve critical user needs.
You’ll be a member of a global team working on a prioritized generative AI (gen AI) initiative, based in one of our offices: Prague, Lisbon, San Jose or São Paulo. Our McKinsey’s Tech Ecosystem function is responsible for developing and delivering all technology solutions for the firm’s internal use.
With your understanding of AI and ML products and experience with working with design teams, you’ll build and help drive the success of a gen AI product that has company-wide impact. As part of the product team you will sit at business side and work closely with tech to ensure the right things are built and work with supporting teams so that impact is maximized.
As a Principal Product Manager II, you will define the product vision and roadmap, influence the group strategy and help achieve larger strategic objectives beyond your own teams focus.
You’ll manage one or more cross-functional teams, define objectives and key results for your team, oversee the backlog, and prioritize user stories. Collaborating with development and data science teams, you will refine these stories and evolve the solution, conducting agile ceremonies with expertise. Engaging with users for feedback and user research will be essential to enhancing user experience as well as leveraging data and user insights to turn into product strategy and requirements.
You will lead the definition, execution, and rollout and monitoring of features in one or multiple complex areas, working with product managers, designers, and engineers, analytics teams as well as our adoption team. You will anticipate opportunities and challenges, guiding the team and leadership in addressing them proactively.
Your role will include developing business requirements, leading agile development, and managing backlog grooming and sprint planning with your team. You will establish time schedules with engineering and design teams and define and develop necessary features.
Prototyping, testing, and visualizing product features with designers will be part of your daily tasks. Ensuring that each feature meets its acceptance criteria will be a key responsibility, driving the success of our generative AI initiatives.
You’ll continuously improve your teams operations, ensure risks are addressed and will collaborate with key leaders and stakeholders aligning as well as identifying and driving synergies across your workstreams.
You’ll foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and ownership within the team, besides hiring, onboarding, retaining, coaching, and evaluating Product Managers within and beyond your immediate project.
You’ll be co-leading the growth of the product capability and implement best practices across your team(s) and develop and deepen relationships with strategic partners and vendors to advance product strategy and timelines, influence budget planning and resourcing discussions to secure necessary resources.

Your Growth

You’ll work with the team focused on our internal firm generative AI initiatives. Our team is distributed across multiple locations, including offices in North America and Europe.
The team is dedicated to advancing the capabilities and applications of generative AI within our firm, driving innovation, and delivering impactful AI solutions.
