Your Impact
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst with product/service/project/program management and software development experience, to drive impact through discovery, translating technical concepts into product requirements to ensure delivery and rollout of features that solve critical user needs. With the help of other team members and teams, you will support the product vision and roadmap and contribute to driving the success of our Generative AI initiatives.
You will be a global team member working on a prioritized initiative based in our Gurgaon location. Our McKinsey Tech Ecosystem function is responsible for developing and delivering all technology solutions for the firm’s internal use.
You will help drive the success of our product portfolio across different firm channels that have a company-wide impact. As part of the product team, you sit on the business side and work closely with tech to ensure the right things are built and work with supporting teams so that impact is maximized
Your Growth
You will implement the product vision, implementing critical features for Colleague Search Portfolio of Applications – McKinsey’s internal tools for employees – to help our firm members effectively maneuver the firm by finding and discovering the right colleagues and experts, thereby bringing the best of McKinsey's expertise to our clients.
As a Senior Product Analyst, you will implement the product vision and roadmap, regularly groom the backlog, and write user stories. Collaborating with development and central data teams, you will refine these stories and evolve the solution, and support conducting agile ceremonies.
Engaging with users for feedback and user research will be essential to enhancing user experience, as well as leveraging data and user insights to turn into product strategy and requirements, together in collaboration with a senior product manager.
You will support the definition, execution, rollout, and monitoring of a subset of features in one domain, in close collaboration with the principal product manager, designers, engineers, analytics teams, as well as our adoption team. You will anticipate opportunities and challenges, guiding the team and leadership in addressing them proactively.
Your role includes supporting the gathering of business requirements, leading agile development, and supporting the management of backlog grooming and prioritization. You’ll work with technical teams daily on the development of necessary features. A technical understanding of AI and ML products is preferred.
Prototyping, testing, and visualizing product features with designers will be part of your daily tasks. Ensuring that each feature meets its acceptance criteria will be a key responsibility, driving the success of our Generative AI initiatives.
You’ll support more senior product managers on your team with a variety of tasks under their guidance.
Your qualifications and skills
- 2+ years of product owner experience with a strong product management toolkit, effectively working with cross-functional teams in an agile set-up across the full product development lifecycle
- Prior experience in building products and driving impact with AI and/or Generative AI space, contributing from strategy to delivery (Preferred)
- Proven track record of successfully delivering impact under guidance by identifying user needs, translating this into scoped product requirements/user stories/tickets, working with JIRA (or equivalent tools), supporting running agile ceremonies, and collaborating with technical teams, ensuring feature delivery and bug fixes
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and navigating complex, rapidly changing AI landscapes. Consulting experience is valued
- Strong team player, entrepreneurial, ownership and execution mindset, working side by side with peers to deliver business outcomes
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving & and structuring skills with the ability to translate technical concepts, user analytics, and user pain points into product requirements. A technical understanding of AI and ML products is preferred
- Some flexibility in working hours is required to accommodate different time zones, as well as up to 5-10% international travel required due to the geographic dispersion of the team
