Your Impact
You will work in McKinsey’s CCN within Panorama Financial Institutions Center (PFIC). PFIC is one of the largest Knowledge and Expert consulting capabilities globally and part of the FIG practice, with 230+ members and a global footprint across 30+ locations, focusing on financial services domains, e.g., Retail banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management and Insurance.
The Insurance team within PFIC also has a global multi country footprint across regions APAC, Americas and Europe.
You will support consulting teams on client engagements bringing knowledge and expertise on Insurance related topics. This will include consolidating data across multiple sources, developing unique perspectives, creating client-ready materials and other tasks as needs arise.
You will conduct primary and secondary research within the Insurance domain using proprietary and third-party data sources and managing day-to-day workflow posts, which you will be responsible for packaging research findings in the form of client ready-end products which could be power point presentations and/or financial models.
Over time, you will be expected to develop expertise in a specific area within Insurance and drive research and development of new knowledge as well as contribute to broader knowledge development and proprietary assets to deliver that expertise in a client context. Additionally, you would need to contribute as an active member of the global PFIC community and develop relationships around the globe to build on your knowledge and provide support to the broader network as needed.
You will have fluency to apply GenAI technologies, under risks, and best practices and should be able to leverage GenAI for data gathering, analysis to improve quality and efficiency of insights and problem-solving, demonstrating proficiency in using prompts and genAI agents.
There is flexibility to hire at the Senior Analyst level, depending on your experience

Your qualifications and skills
- Degree in commerce, finance, business studies, economics
- 3-5 years of work experience in consulting firms in the FIG space or in Local Insurance organizations
- Strong understanding of financial statements and general business concepts
- Superior problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills
- Professional attitude and service orientation
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Willing to work in a demanding and result-oriented team environment
- Entrepreneurial and self-starters who enjoy the challenges and rewards of research work in a dynamic and changing environment
- Ability to work with low-code-no code tools to build GenAI agents; knowledge of python and building and using GenAI agents would be a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
