Job ID: 104654
Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
Your Impact
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading the HR Operations based teams in Asia (Gurgaon). This position is based at McKinsey Global Capabilities & Services (MGCS), Gurgaon, and reports to the Director of HR Operations.
Your role will play a critical leadership role in strengthening HR operational excellence and people leadership in Gurgaon (GGN). Your role is responsible not only for the delivery of high-quality, scalable HR operations, but also for building leadership depth, capability, and a strong team culture within the GGN HR Ops teams across Service Operations, Onboarding and Mobility.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build, lead, and develop a high-performing HR Operations leadership team in GGN, coaching Operations Managers, Team Leads, and senior HR Ops professionals to reach their full potential. You will set clear expectations and performance standards, ensuring everyone is aligned with global HR Ops priorities. By fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, quality, and continuous learning, you will drive both individual and team growth. You will champion talent development, succession planning, and leadership readiness, preparing your team to support the organization’s growth and evolving needs. You will also lead workforce planning and recruitment efforts, ensuring your team is always equipped to deliver.
As a key HR Operations leader, you will ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery in line with global processes and SLAs, driving the standardization, simplification, and documentation of HR Ops processes. You will act as a trusted partner to regional and global HR Ops leadership, serving as a point of escalation for service delivery issues and regularly checking in with HR stakeholders to gather feedback and enhance team support. You will also play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of AI agents and automation, helping to scale operations, reduce manual work, and boost efficiency. By leveraging data, metrics, and feedback, you will proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement, making a tangible impact on the organization’s HR Operations.

You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
