Your Impact
As Sourcing Manager for Responsible Sourcing, you will be dedicated to our India Office procurement projects. Your role will be the bridge between the local market and our central Optimize Sourcing team, playing a critical role in ‘making responsible buying easy’ through bringing solutions and experiences from across our supplier ecosystem to the office. You will collaborate closely with the Optimize Global Responsible Sourcing team, along with India Function leaders, Office Partners, Finance, Strategy, Professional Development (PD), and Administration.
Your expertise in sourcing products and services and knowledge of the local market will ensure that we meet our responsible sourcing standards and provide exceptional experiences for our clients and stakeholders. You will be a key player in our efforts to enable colleagues and the firm to live our purpose confidently, and your work will contribute to the success of our supplier ecosystem.
You will be tasked with driving high-impact strategic sourcing events for the India office (RFx events and Direct Negotiations) across of varying spend, risk levels, and complexity across all of our firm’s critical indirect categories, such as Technology, Real Estate, Events, Expert Network Services, Ground Transportation, People [HR Benefits, Learning, Recruiting, etc.], Professional Services, Facilities Management, etc. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing innovative sourcing strategies providing local insights to deliver the best products, services, or solutions at the best value while protecting our firm from risk.
You will shape and execute self-led Sourcing Events for the India Office with innovative sourcing strategies for complex and high-value purchases with category managers and business unit stakeholders across India.
You’ll continuously evolve the local procurement program in line with business needs and in compliance with the Optimize Responsible Sourcing policy and best practices.
You’ll have the opportunity to be a thought-partner and co-create innovative sourcing solutions with internal clients and Optimize collaborators (examples: Category Leaders, Purchasing, Purchasing Operations, Legal Procurement, Suppliers, etc.) to deliver exceptional sourcing strategies and sourcing experiences. You’ll also build strong relationships, partnering with our Optimize sourcing managers so our colleagues have consistent sourcing experiences.
You’ll have the opportunity to provide regular input to help drive the development and implementation of world-class sourcing processes, principles, and KPIs for each category, identify and deploy technologies that can digitize and automate these sourcing processes, and develop a transparent, sustainable governance model for the sourcing practice.

Your qualifications and skills
- University degree and excellent academic record required; advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years in a professional business environment with at least five years of relevant Sourcing experience required
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven experience in influencing senior leadership within a consensus-driven culture, combined with advanced stakeholder management skills to shape priorities, drive change, influence decisions, make strategic recommendations, meet deadlines, and inspire confidence at the highest organizational levels
- Excellent people leadership skills – you are an outstanding people leader who attracts and develops a group of highly talented colleagues
- Deep strategic sourcing knowledge across multiple standard indirect categories that deliver excellent Sourcing Strategies
- Deep expertise in sourcing steps and processes (examples: Conducting Spend Analysis, Clean Sheet, Total Cost of Ownership and Cost Breakdown Analysis, Sourcing Strategy Development, Product/ Services Requirements and features Mapping, RFP Excellence, Business Case development, and outstanding ability to negotiate); knowledge of technology solutions that digitize and automate Sourcing Processes is highly valued
- Procurement transformation experience within a global organization is highly valued
- Experience with supplier performance management is highly valued
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly articulate creative, practical solutions
- Exceptional ability to apply experience and knowledge to drive transformational improvements, influence others with expertise, and demonstrate outstanding change management, project management, and communication skills, while effectively prioritizing and managing competing priorities and ambiguous situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, with the ability to communicate across functions at all organizational levels
