Knowledge Analyst - Private Capital

Job ID: 105566
  • Tokyo

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

Your Impact

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders in our Private Capital team, where you will play a key role in helping investors build strong investment theses, generate actionable insights, maintain a robust knowledge base, and develop innovative approaches to delivering successful transactions.
Your position offers a unique chance to contribute meaningfully in a dynamic and fast-paced industry while gaining broad exposure to diverse markets.
Your primary responsibilities will include delivering standardized modules in due diligence, such as conducting Voice of Customer analyses, designing and executing B2B and B2C surveys, performing competitive landscape scans, and building market models. You will also support the development of investment theses, market sizing, and growth benchmarking by leveraging data-driven insights. Additionally, you will contribute to client development efforts by creating asset perspectives that help shape strategic decisions.
Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work alongside private equity practitioners to apply advanced generative AI (GenAI) solutions, codify knowledge, and scale impact across projects. You will also partner closely with Private Capital solution teams to ensure consistent excellence and innovation in client service delivery.
As part of a broader team of over 25 colleagues across Asia, you will gain early exposure to a wide range of sectors, providing you with a strong foundation for your career in private capital. Your role is designed to offer both professional growth and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the industry.

Your Growth

Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
  • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions, all while upholding our unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic record; bachelors’ or master’s in business, finance
  • 3+ years in Private Equity, Investment Banking, or business consulting experience
  • Foundational knowledge of due diligence (e.g., market modeling, conducting surveys, etc.) or demonstrated experience/interest in the same
  • Strong analytical skills and toolkit (market modeling, survey analysis, financial/business acumen).
  • Proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint; experience with digital/analytical tools is preferred.
  • Excellent problem structuring, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a professional, service-oriented mindset
  • Perspective on local markets in China, particularly demographic/business/economic trends is not required, but is a plus
  • Working understanding of GenAI applications such as DeepSeek and Co-pilot
