A Day in the Life
An exciting opportunity to be part of a high performing and highly impactful regional APAC Operational Excellence team which puts the ‘patient first’ in all it does. Medtronic APAC consists for all the countries starting from Japan in North to Australia and New Zealand in the south.
The Senior Analyst will strive for continuous improvement and operational excellence in DC operations. He or she will own and drive the distribution excellence annual deployment plan for MPS, Lean and One Best Way, generate meaningful data insights on operations, processes and financial performance of APAC distribution and logistics operations to ensure Medtronic customers receive the highest quality of products and services by continuously improving distribution and logistics processes and systems.
The key performance metrics are freight cost, distribution center (DC) ops cost, on-time performance of DCs, on time performance of transportation, minimizing losses (shrinkage, damage etc.) and inventory health.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Own and implement distribution excellence objectives for DC operations
Implement MPS (Medtronic Performance System)
Drive continuous improvement on cost, quality and delivery through Lean and VSM
Implement One Best Way (People, Process & Technology) for DC operations
Implement global data insights capability and dashboards in all APAC countries.
Provide APAC data and dashboard requirements to the global insights team.
Enable overall performance for APAC on Ops and financial metrics and objectives (Cost, On-time, zero damages, zero shrinkage)
Prepare and conduct monthly & quarterly operations and financial reviews for APAC.
Analyze and suggest improvement actions on metrics which are not performing well.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Tech or MBA from Tier 1 colleges with 4~6 years work experience
Understanding and application of Six Sigma and Lean tool for improving operations and processes
Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products; especially Power BI, SQL, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Excel & SharePoint
Experience with analytics, data models and dashboards
Experience of working in Supply Chain or Distribution Center and Logistics operations
Preferred Industry experience – Logistics, E commerce (B2C or B2B), FMCG, Manufacturing or technology-based start ups
Prior experience of working with ERP systems like SAP, Blue Yonder will be added advantage
