We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Sr. Digital & Social Media Specialist to join our Strategic Marketing function in the Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit. This high-impact and high-visibility role will be responsible for creating and producing multimedia content for the Cranial and Spinal Technologies business’ digital channels. This role will also be responsible for managing, optimizing, and analyzing digital channel performance. We are looking for a social and creative content enthusiast with a passion for multimedia storytelling and excitement about leveraging digital channels to reach stakeholders. A successful candidate for this role will be highly motivated, detail oriented, and comfortable generating high-impact, innovative content in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Social Media Strategy & Management

  • Manage and execute integrated operating unit social media editorial calendar

  • Support the development of an integrated marketing plan, ideating and executing content aligned to the CST product and event marketing promotional focus areas as well as CST brand storytelling initiatives and strategic imperatives.

  • Identify opportunities for, and initiate, paid social media campaigns. Execute campaigns and evaluate metrics in collaboration with corporate teams and other stakeholders.

  • Manage direct messages, comments, and other interactions to steward CST online communities and foster relationships with key audiences

Content Creation & Thought Leadership

  • Research, write, and/or produce multimedia content for CST operating unit social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) in partnership with Product Marketing, Strategic Partnerships, and Communications Team

  • Leverage programs like Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom) to craft and tailor platform-specific content in partnership with creative services

  • Support Medtronic events on-site as a content creator or director for agency resources to generate high-impact promotional or recap media for large-scale programs and events.

  • Gain content approval from product marketing stakeholders, regulatory, legal, and clinical teams through Promotional Material Review processes

Web & Digital Platform Management

  • Develop and manage product, portfolio, and campaign pages on Medtronic.com for the operating unit. Partner with product marketers to align web content with business imperatives and provide insights and optimization suggestions based on data.

  • Develop, advise, and optimize content on Medtronic’s education platform for HCPs, Medtronic Academy in partnership with the CST Education Team

Measurement & Performance Marketing

  • Evaluate the efficacy of promotions and communications; manage implementation and measure performance of digital programs, content, and key stakeholder digital engagement results.

  • Develop insights into customer digital behaviors and optimize content to reach the target audience

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience in digital/social media, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in the technical aspects of desktop and mobile social media channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube

  • Strong writing, editing, and copywriting skills

  • Basic photography and videography technical skills; ability to take social-media quality photos and video and edit as needed for quick posting

  • Confident strategist in content differentiation/syndication across platforms for optimal engagement

  • Proficient in project management; Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and content contributors/subject matter experts in a regulated industry environment

  • An appetite for learning and experimenting with content and platforms, as well as approaches to communication and promotional activity

  • Advanced level knowledge and skills within digital/customer marketing, including:

    • Omnichannel digital marketing

    • Product launches

    • Customer events

    • Medical conferences

    • Data Analytics (natively through social channels & Adobe Analytics)

    • Digital agency experience

    • Direct-to-consumer campaigns

    • Paid social media

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$83,200.00 - $124,800.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
