A Day in the Life

Global Expansion Program Manager

Careers that Change Lives

Operations and Deployment is part of the Patient Care Systems (PCS) function within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Operating Unit (OU). The team supports CRM business partners by focusing on scalable, commercial success from product and service introduction through lifecycle management. Situated in the OU, the team emphasizes purposeful global growth through the delivery of regional plans aimed at achieving revenue enablement and adoption goals. Operations and Deployment includes the following teams: Geo Expansion and System Planning, Monitor Operations, and Device Manager Operations.

The evolution of our cardiac systems and the diverse markets we enter requires constant reassessment of introduction and support models globally. The Geo Expansion and System Planning cross-functional team ensures emerging markets are well-positioned for the successful launch of new technology systems while managing support for legacy platforms.

Currently, the CareLink Network enables remote monitoring in over 84 countries and supports more than 15,000 clinics. Each year, the expansion team supports approximately 60 launches across 30 countries. The PCS portfolio is continually evolving, introducing new device programmers, remote monitors, and clinician tools. Purposeful global growth aims to reduce the proliferation of monitoring and device manager expenses (over $130M) by driving informed launch decisions that generate incremental revenue and expand PCS access for global patients and customers.

As Global Expansion Program Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of PCS expansions to support the CRM ecosystem’s device manager and patient monitor rollout. You will lead a cross-functional team to execute the PCS product expansion strategy and collaborate with global teams to ensure systems are market-ready. This role also involves managing release schedules with Contract Manufacturers, identifying and mitigating associated risks. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with strong leadership skills, a solid track record in managing complex projects, and a passion for global growth.

We believe that when people from different cultures, genders, and points of view come together, innovation is the result —and everyone wins. Medtronic walks the walk, creating an inclusive culture where you can thrive.

This position is in Mounds View, MN within the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) operating unit and requires on-site presence three days a week.
