A Day in the Life
Medtronic is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for Cranial and Spinal Therapies (CST) in France, Spain and Portugal. You will act as a proactive business partner and key advisor in the formulation and implementation of the business strategy, organization performance measurement and risk management. You will support your business partner to drive market share gains, maximize top and bottom-line opportunities, deliver on KPIs and targets, drive efficiency in operations and adopt new business models where applicable.You will report to Western Europe CST Senior Finance Manager, with close working relationships with CST Business Leadership Team in France, Spain and Portugal, CST Western Europe (WE) Leadership Team, CST WE Finance teams, local Finance Teams and our Centers of Excellence in Herleen and Prague.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Interpreting, explaining, and driving business performance
- Supporting and influencing key operational and strategic decisions
- Conducting financial planning activities, including AOP and other periodic forecasts
- Accountability for all financial matters of CST including revenue recognition, sales structure, resources allocation, expenses management and assets management
- Managing business risks and opportunities
- Business partnering/interacting with internal customers
- Building strong trusting relationships that foster success.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- University degree in Finance, Business or Accounting
- 3 - 5 years of experience in financial planning, running forecasts, reporting, analysis of KPI, revenue recognition, expenses management, high stakeholder management (persuasion of executives)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, organized
- Strategic thinking – see the big picture and think long term
- Proactive and action-oriented, with excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
