A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

GUI Development

• Develop embedded GUI applications using Qt (Widgets and QML) and C++
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes into functioning interfaces(figma)
• Implement and manage localization/internationalization

Testing & Validation

• Develop and execute unit and integration tests using GTest, Pytest, and Squish
• Ensure high code quality through test-driven development and automation

Debugging & Troubleshooting

• Use GDB and static analysis tools to identify and resolve complex issues
• Profile and optimize GUI performance for embedded systems

Scripting & Automation

• Automate tools and workflows using Python, Shell Script, and PowerShell

Platform & Toolchain

• Develop software targeted for Linux/Ubuntu and QNX

CI/CD & Collaboration

• Participate in Agile development: code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Manage code and CI/CD workflows using Git, GitHub, JIRA, Bamboo, and Stash

Required knowledge and Experience:

• BE/B-Tech with 8+ years of experience.

Technical Skills

• Languages & Frameworks: Qt/QML, C++, Python, Shell Script, PowerShell
• Operating Systems: Ubuntu, QNX
• Testing Tools: GTest, Pytest, Squish
• Debugging Tools: GDB, Static Analysis
• IDEs: VS Code, Qt Creator
• Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitHub, JIRA, Bamboo, Stash
• Tool: JAMA, Polariton, Agile Life Cycle

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Medical devices, or industrial embedded systems
• Knowledge of HMI design principles and UX patterns
• Familiarity with performance tuning for resource-constrained systems
