We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT developer with 5 years of hands-on development experience. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications that drive our innovative healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of .NET technologies, a passion for problem-solving, and experience with regulatory standards and best practices in the MedTech industry. Candidate with previous MedTech sector experience will be preferred. This will be a remote model role in Colombia.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust C#, .NET and Java based applications and services to meet business requirements and improve healthcare solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers, to define and implement technical solutions
• Analyse and optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and responsiveness.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards, including healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA guidelines), and integrate security best practices into development processes
• Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to promote best practices and continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our products and processes
• Document technical specifications, design patterns, and implementation details to support ongoing maintenance and future development

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five years of experience in designing and developing enterprise solutions
• Fluent in English
• Hands-on experience as a backend developer with expertise in C# .NET and Java
• Hands-on experience as a front-end developer using React
• Hands-on experience with RDBMS databases and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB)
• Hands-on experience in cloud-native application deployment/debugging (either of AWS. Good to have Azure)
• Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented programing and engineering principles like SOLID
• Experience writing and utilizing RESTful API services (including Open API Spec, Swagger)
• Experience in designing and building distributed and modular architectures like microservices
• Knowledge of DevOps CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Proficiency in Node.js and Express and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps) is advantageous
