Our Purpose
At our Manufacturing Engineering Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on supporting Product Value streams to ensure that customer & patient needs are met every day. Our team plays a critical role in supporting the go-live activities for new product introductions, ensuring the establishment of a robust manufacturing process. We focus on achieving consistent performance across key metrics such as ergonomics, yield, downtime, and throughput. Acting as the Voice of Operations throughout the project lifecycle, we actively contribute to delivering a reliable and efficient process.

A day in the life of:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Leads activities for documentation set up for commercial builds. (GTINs, BOMs, OPs, DHR).
- Supports and coordinates production cell set up to MPS requirements.
- Coordinates SAP ME introduction.
- Ensure process is implemented with optimum First Time Quality (FTQ).
- Implement relevant poke-yoke and mix up mitigations.
- Collaborates on Equipment binders (EBs), EDST, IQ protocols and PMs.
- Supports calibration activities.
- Monitors yields, critical defects, LBM & cycle time.
- Works in partnership with extended Operations & Project Team (R&D, PD, Quality & RA).
- Aids with equipment installation.
- Manages Operations manufacturing engineering activity to ensure project timelines are met.
- Represents the Voice of Operations on the program.
Key Skills & Experience
- Level 8 degree or higher in Engineering/Science or related discipline.
- Minimum 4+ years’ relevant direct engineering experience.
- Experience in Process Development projects is an advantage.
- We are looking for a dynamic team player who can collaborate effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams, with strong attention to detail.
- You are experienced with computer literacy and team dynamic skills, (accountability, decision-making, feedback).
- We are looking for strong interpersonal, leadership and team skills.
- Ability to demonstrate Medtronic Mindset in their work and good presentation skills are desirable.
- We are looking for a good communicator and fluency in English, both in writing and speaking.
