A Day in the Life

Under the leadership of the Training Manager, the Senior Training Specialist creates and implements the training plans for transformational initiatives for Global Pricing & Contracting in close cooperation with business partners. The Training Specialist helps the entire organization, leaders, and employees navigate through critical change and transformation without disrupting business continuity by creating and implementing comprehensive training plans.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, deliver and coordinate in-house training and materials that support key transformation initiatives, business line communications, and programs to Global Pricing & Contracting (P&C) teams along with OU teams and commercial employees.
  • Obtain information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.
  • Ensure training program(s) meets business and program objectives.
  • Support development of toolkits and training playbooks plus creates templates and processes that can be leveraged by multiple stakeholders.
  • Work across multiple programs (defined as per P&C priorities which could include global initiatives), with varying demands and objectives by acting as an integral member of that initiative.
  • Ability to adjust plans to align with agile ways of working.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (SMEs, Product Owners, Scrum Master and leaders) to create education programs, curricula, course materials and measurements that support business strategies. Help foster the adoption of a self-service model for low impact changes.
  • Demonstrate education effectiveness through systematic program evaluation and continuous improvement strategy.
  • Acquire and maintains a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keeps up to date with relevant developments.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • . Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of relevant experience
  • Internal training experience with core business acumen and a general understanding of healthcare marketplace.
  • Strong working knowledge of Training & Education build and delivery processes.
  • Excellent communication skills: oral, written, and negotiation in English.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Contributes to new and exciting ways to engage, communicate and reach a diverse global population.
  • Comfortable with providing training guidance to product owners and project members.
  • Works well under pressure, meets tight deadlines, motivated to work autonomously.
  • Passion and ability to develop and deliver impactful training.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to coordinate projects efficiently and effectively; adjust to shifting priorities; ability to negotiate priorities.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint; project management tools including Smartsheets, Jira or Miro; video creation tools using Camtasia; and technical systems knowledge of Salesforce.
