A Day in the Life
The Payroll Analyst ensures accurate and timely compensation of employees in compliance with company policies and government regulations. This role involves analyzing, auditing, and reconciling payroll data, resolving complex processing issues, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. The analyst will respond to audits, address inquiries, support system administration, and contribute to process improvements, including mergers and acquisitions. Success in this role requires strong knowledge of payroll practices, wage laws, data analysis, and effective cross-functional communication.Responsibilities
- Payroll is responsible to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
- Analyze, audit, reconcile, and resolve complex payroll processing and employee payroll issues to ensure smooth payroll processing.
- Ensure payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations.
- Research and interprets regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, and garnishment issues for payroll processing.
- Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries.
- Create standard operating procedures, responds to merger and acquisition activities.
- May ensure time systems are compliant with company policy and government regulations.
- May respond to and resolve employee and client inquires.
- May work with system programmers to achieve solutions or administer company payroll system with outside service provider.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of relevant experience
