In this exciting role you will become a value stream leader for all external service partners with the Grand Rapids campus, along with our campuses in Minnesota. You will support business execution of ongoing and new programs and initiatives. The scope will include materials scheduling, capacity management, customer interactions with service providers, and coordination with internal stakeholders. You will monitor key performance indicators, manage capacity, and coordinate with cross-functional work teams to meet business objectives. Key stakeholders will include External Customers, Operations, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations Scheduling team members.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the procurement and planning process, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers
Procurement Management: Responsible for managing the procurement process for Medtronic, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services from external suppliers
Planning and Forecasting: Develop and maintain a comprehensive purchasing plan based on market trends, customer needs, and production requirements
Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services
Inventory Management: Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or excess stock
Cost Management: Implement cost-saving strategies and initiatives to improve overall procurement efficiency and reduce costs
Quality Control: Work closely with suppliers to ensure the products and services meet Medtronic's quality standards and specifications
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as production, logistics, and sales, to ensure timely delivery of products and efficient communication
Data Analysis: Utilize data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions and identify areas for improvement in the procurement process
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement and sourcing activities
Performance Evaluation: Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain high-quality standards
Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other members of the procurement team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Onsite

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of02 years relevant experience
Nice to Have
Experience working with MRP/ERP systems (preference working in SAP)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.) or similar software.
Strong data analysis, data management, and quantitative skills
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), team orientation, and ability to negotiate towards positive outcomes.
Strong organizational skills and good understanding of team dynamics.
Must be detail-oriented, with ability to connect the detail to higher level goals.
Ability to identify patterns.
Working knowledge of quality system requirements and good manufacturing practices.
Experience working in a regulated environment (i.e., medical device, pharmaceutical)
APICS and/or CPM Certification Cost accounting understanding/experience
Understanding of contracts (supply, services, non-disclosures, etc.)
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or comparable training)
