The Financial Consultant – CAS Sales Finance role within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Finance team is a critical role that will partner with our US commercial sales organization to provide sales operations analytics and to improve sales process efficiency and effectiveness in a fast-paced, hyper-growth operating unit.

This position will provide analytical insights and business decision support to the CAS US Sales Finance Director and across the commercial sales organization. The position will assist with developing revenue and procedure analytics, provide leadership in the Quota setting process, and provide other key financial insights for operating unit and quarterly forecasting processes.

This individual is also expected to play a key role in headcount planning and analysis with our US commercial organization, and to align available headcount to support our ongoing product launch strategy.

A Day In The Life:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive a positive impact through the following:

  • Provide financial support and revenue analytics to drive actionable insights for the commercial sales leadership team.

  • Aid in the regional revenue and procedure forecasting processes.

  • Partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Finance on US Affera launch, including alignment of launch targets, capital acquisition strategies and human capital needs.

  • Drive field quota development and implementation.

  • Partner across sales & finance to streamline processes and key metrics reporting.

  • Proactively improve and standardize operating mechanisms for driving regional sales accountability.

  • Conduct revenue and expense variance analysis to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.

  • Develop headcount and expense analytics to support field needs and headcount planning through dynamic product launch cycles.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support for capital acquisition strategies and initiatives.

  • Support the implementation of sales incentive plans and monitor effectiveness.

  • Key contributor to strategic planning and AOP processes, including field alignment on supply allocation decisions and capital equipment customer acquisition models.

Must Have – Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with a minimum of 10 years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting

Or

  • Advanced Degree with a minimum of 8 years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting

Nice to Have:

  • Strong modeling/Microsoft Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships,

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage tight time commitments

  • Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion systems

  • MBA or CPA, including public accounting / technical accounting

  • Controllership/Capital Accounting Experience

  • Experience in navigating across complex matrix organizations

  • Proven ability to interface in a global team environment with various levels of management, staff, and other functional areas,

  • Demonstrated ability and success working with minimal supervision, including flexibility to changing priorities in a proactive and self-motivated manner,

  • Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate financial data into concise information for management

  • Ability to operate within a complex organization

About CAS (Cardiac Ablation Solutions)

The Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) operating unit is highly innovative, with a full suite of electrophysiology (EP) solutions to treat patients with arrhythmias, including paroxysmal and persistent atrial fibrillation (AF). The portfolio of products includes, multiple pulsed field ablation (PFA) catheter systems, including a first-of-its-kind high-density mapping catheter that combines radiofrequency and pulsed field energies, and cryoablation solutions.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$133,600.00 - $200,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
