The Visualase business, part of Medtronic’s Neuromodulation operating unit, is undergoing an exciting transformation—embracing bold innovation and experiencing some of the fastest growth across the company. With a broad and comprehensive portfolio of laser ablation solutions for therapies such as epilepsy and brain tumors, Visualase is making a meaningful impact on patients' lives around the world. As the business continues to commercialize breakthrough technologies, we are seeking a Sr. Product Manager – Visualase, Upstream Marketing to help shape the future of the portfolio and amplify the legacy Medtronic has built in this space.

In this highly visible and strategic role, the Sr. Product Manager – Visualase, Upstream Marketing will play a critical part in building and executing upstream marketing campaigns, shaping long-term investment strategies, identifying new geographic growth opportunities, engaging key opinion leaders (KOLs), and developing pricing and innovation roadmaps to drive share expansion. The ideal candidate is energized by working in a dynamic, competitive market and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Global Director of Marketing, this individual will partner cross-functionally with upstream and downstream marketing teams, market research, branding, and sales training to position Visualase as the laser ablation partner of choice. Join us in helping to unlock solutions for patients living with chronic and complex neurological conditions, and be part of a team that is bringing forward the next generation of impactful innovation.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Brand Strategy Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive upstream marketing strategies aligned with business objectives for the Visualase laser ablation portfolio

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, pricing dynamics, and customer insights to inform long-term investment strategies and positioning

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with downstream marketing, clinical, sales, market access, medical education, and R&D teams to ensure alignment on global brand strategy, pricing, and investment priorities

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure all brand initiatives comply with industry regulations, corporate policies, and quality standards

Customer Engagement & Insights:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders in the Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (LITT) community to gain insights and foster brand advocacy

  • Conduct market research and collect customer feedback to guide brand strategy, investment decisions, product lifecycle planning, and positioning

Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of relevant marketing or technical experience in healthcare, medical device, pharma, CPG or agency/consulting industry, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Experience in the Epilepsy and/or Brain Tumor disease state

  • Strong global commercial marketing experience; preferably upstream in the medical device or healthcare industry

  • Exposure to global healthcare markets and the global economy

  • Experience leading market analysis, modeling, and investment strategies

  • Experience developing and leading projects, programs, and/or cross-functional teams

  • Ability to quickly develop relationships and rapport with individuals at all levels and from all cultures

  • Strong relationship building experience with physicians, staff, R&D, field sales, medical education, societies & organization, and distributors

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$132,800.00 - $199,200.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
