Position Description:
IT Principal Technical Analyst for Covidien LP (a Medtronic company) located in Tempe, AZ. Responsible for analyzing technical information and aligning it with Medtronic’s technology strategies. Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop business requirements for product, site or system changes with Service Now, Incident mgmt., and Change mgmt. for modules including CI (Configuration Item), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), CMDB (Configuration Mgmt. Database) and Configuration Mgmt. Monitor, maintain, analyze and provide immediate resolutions to ensure an efficient flow of operations for critical systems including Factory Works MES (Manufacturing execution system), SAP (Systems applications and products) and BPCS (Business planning and control system), SFIS (Shop floor information system), DMAS (Data Mgmt. and Analysis System), SPACE (statistical control system), and Manufacturing Automation equipment controller. Utilize Data Mgmt. and analytics platforms including Power BI & Tableau for service provider’s performance measurement, tracking & reporting. Serve as DBA (Database Administrator), responsible for ensuring performance, reliability, security and integrity for any database including Oracle DB, SQL Server, DB2 administration including backup and recovery strategy. Leverage Windows, Linux, CentOS, Firewall, Hardware and Servers recovery for identifying any IT hardware, software or system critical issue and escalate. Engage with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changes can improve efficiencies by leveraging problem solving methodologies including DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control), Six Sigma methodologies and C/I (Continues improvement). Leverage Agile, Electronic Quality Database Mgmt. System (EQDMS) and Confluence system documentation. Work directly on Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and Cybersecurity audits from regulatory authorities to actively identify system functionality or performance deficiencies, execute changes to existing systems, and test functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week on-call support as required for critical applications, servers and databases. #LI-DNI
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or closely related technical field and five (5) years of experience as an IT Analyst, IT Supervisor or related occupation in Information Technology; or Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or closely related technical field and seven (7) years of experience as an IT Analyst, IT Supervisor or related occupation in Information Technology. Must possess at least five (5) years of experience with each of the following: Service now, incident mgmt., and change mgmt. for modules incl. ITIL, CMBD, and Configuration Mgmt.; Factory Works MES, SAP, BPCS, SFIS, DMAS, SPACE and MFG Automation equipment controller; PowerBI & Tableau; Oracle DB, SQL Server, DB2 administration incl. backup and recovery strategy; Windows, Linux, CentOS, Firewall, Hardware, and Servers recovery ; DMAIC, Six Sigma methodologies, and Continues Improvement; Agile, Electronic Quality Database Mgmt. System, and Confluence system documentation; and working with FDA, CTPAT, and Cybersecurity audits from regulatory authorities. Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week on-call support as required for critical applications, servers and databases.
Salary: $133,000 to $178,800 per year
