A Day in the Life
The Shipping / Receiving / Clerk is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area including room temperature and humidity. Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
- Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
- Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
- Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
- (un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
- Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Requires minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Requires high school diploma, vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
Nice to Have- Preferred skills
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in shipping and receiving documentation.
- Organizational Skills: Managing inventory and maintaining records efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Coordinating and communicate with buyers and internal departments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using shipping software (SAP) and tools.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy packages.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Addressing and resolving shipping and receiving issues promptly.
