A Day in the Life

The Senior Financial Analyst role within the US Enterprise Accounts and Strategic Channels Finance team will partner with the US Alternate Site Care (ASC) team to drive improved margins, sales, new channels, market share, and enhanced customer experience. This position will provide analytical and business decision support to the Sr. Finance Manager, Sales Vice President, and direct leadership teams of the ASC Sales organization. This position will drive reporting and deep dive analytics and provide key financial input on operating and strategic plans to generate forecasts, analyze sales trends, and execution of operating unit plans.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs and analyzes financial modeling, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning, and expense analysis.

  • Business partner with ASC Sales leaders and select operating unit commercial finance partners.

  • Provide in depth revenue and sales performance analytics to assist leadership in growing the business.

  • Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles, and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management.

  • Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.

  • Assist in the AOP (Quota) process for the ASC sales organization.

  • Generate quarterly forecasts and manage the financials to ensure the achievement of key performance metrics.

  • Complete deep dive analysis and reporting required by business including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR’s), Monthly Financial Reviews (MFRs) and various ad hoc analysis.

  • Identify risks, opportunities, and gaps to forecast and plan. Identify and recommend corrective action plans to mitigate key risks.

  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance versus plan and forecast.

  • Partner and support the Sales Finance COE on expense reporting, forecasting, and planning at a cost center level.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting, or advanced degree with 2+ years of experience

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance

  • CPA, CMA, and/or MBA

  • Industry background in manufacturing, healthcare, technology, or consumer products

  • Familiarity with channel sales models, trade spend management, pricing strategy, and distribution chargeback processes

  • Experience in supporting commercial or customer-facing business units, ideally within healthcare, life sciences, or distribution

  • Strong understanding of sales channels, distributor economics, and revenue management

  • Demonstrated success supporting a field sales and/or channel sales organization

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau)

  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, results driven environment

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$85,600.00 - $128,400.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
