A Day in the Life

An exciting position has arisen to support the service and sales of the Medtronic Spinal portfolio that includes spinal navigation, imaging, and robotics as an associate spine sales representative primarily based in Galway. You will have responsibility for technical and clinical implant support in operating theatres, training of theatre staff and inventory management.

You will work in tandem with our Principal Therapy Sales specialist based in Galway and the experienced team of Therapy Sales Specialists & Technical Consultants countrywide. You will develop strong relationships with customers, providing onsite technical support, liaising between customers and cross-functional internal teams.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provides clinical and technical support to the clinical team in theatres for spine cases
  • Responsible for territory case coverage and support of intraoperative sales
  • Provides troubleshooting support to field sales force and customers
  • Participates in the development of employee and customer training/education programs
  • Participates in and supports regional events such as Congresses or Customer Events
  • Ensures inventory is maintained at its optimal level as per guidelines
  • Identifies ways to impact at scale and deliver outcomes with the highest standard of patient safety, quality, and ethics
  • Supports marketing and sales in the introduction and market release of new products

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • University degree in either Engineering, Radiography, Life-science, Business, Biology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or another relevant, advanced degree
  • Keen interest in Enabling Technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects/duties as well as contributing to a larger team
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule, travel and weekend support are required
  • Ability to operate in a matrix environment and work effectively with sales team, physicians, nurses, and hospital technicians


We would appreciate if you have Spinal/Orthopaedic or Cranial division knowledge, and experience in the medical (device) industry or in a hospital operating room environment.

We will accept applications from new Biomedical or Radiology Graduates interested in entering this field.
