Job Summary

The Senior Director, GTM CIO & AI-Driven Digital Transformation is the senior IT business partner for Marketing and Commercial teams. This leader will own the strategy, architecture, roadmaps, delivery, and support for the GTM technology stack, while simultaneously leading a digital transformation agenda powered by AI and automation.

Core platforms include:

  • CRM (Salesforce or equivalent)
  • Digital commerce / e-commerce
  • Customer Care, IVR, and Call Center technologies
  • Marketing tech and automation platforms
  • Regional/local GTM applications

Beyond platform ownership, this role will drive AI-first transformation — embedding intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and generative AI into sales, marketing, and service workflows. The goal: modernize legacy systems, enable data-driven decision-making, and create new digital experiences for customers, patients, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership & Transformation Leadership

  • Act as the primary IT partner for Marketing and Commercial leadership.
  • Translate business strategies into IT-enabled roadmaps, balancing foundational reliability with bold innovation.
  • Champion a digital and AI transformation agenda, influencing priorities to deliver measurable growth, efficiency, and customer impact.
  • Build trusted, executive-level partnerships with commercial stakeholders.

Technology & AI Strategy

  • Own the vision, strategy, and architecture for GTM platforms (CRM, commerce, care, marketing).
  • Design and implement an AI roadmap for customer engagement, personalization, campaign optimization, and call center automation.
  • Partner with Enterprise Architecture to design scalable, AI-ready ecosystems and with Cybersecurity to ensure secure, compliant deployment of AI.
  • Rationalize and modernize legacy/local applications, enabling agility and global consistency.

Execution & Delivery

  • Lead delivery of commercial IT projects and AI-enabled initiatives, from business case to adoption.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to measure outcomes (e.g., customer NPS, campaign ROI, call center efficiency).
  • Drive agile experimentation cycles for AI pilots, scaling successes rapidly across GTM functions.
  • Ensure effective global support for GTM applications, balancing speed, reliability, and innovation.

AI-Driven Business Process Reimagination

  • Reimagine sales, marketing, and customer care processes using AI-first principles.
  • Deploy generative AI for personalized content, customer interactions, and decision support.
  • Integrate AI-powered analytics into GTM strategies, enabling real-time insights and smarter decision-making.
  • Automate routine tasks across customer service and campaign management to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including commercial/GTM IT and digital transformation.
  • Deep expertise in CRM (Salesforce preferred), digital commerce, call center/IVR, and marketing platforms.
  • Proven track record of deploying AI/automation at scale in customer or commercial environments.
  • Strong understanding of commercial processes (lead-to-order, order-to-cash, customer analytics).
  • Experience in med tech, life sciences, or regulated industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated success building business-aligned IT strategies and roadmaps.
  • Strong architectural awareness and ability to partner across infrastructure, data, and security domains.
  • Excellent leadership, executive communication, and change management skills.

Technical Depth

  • Deep expertise in AI/ML technologies, particularly LLMs, agent frameworks, and enterprise integration
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, data architecture, and MLOps at enterprise scale
  • Modern Development: Experience with React/TypeScript and AI-assisted development
  • GenAI Development: Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate solution delivery

  • Risk & Compliance: Experience managing risks and regulatory requirements in automated processes
  • Innovation Velocity: Track record of rapid experimentation and iterative improvement

Why Join Us?

  • Lead the AI-powered transformation of Marketing and Commercial IT in a mission-driven med tech company.
