A Day in the Life

The Digital Commercial Transformation Lead will drive digital-first marketing strategies to support digital sales objectives. This role will develop and execute integrated marketing communication strategies, leverage analytics to identify business growth opportunities, and champion change management for new ways of working. The Lead will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adaptability and impact in South Africa markets, optimizing customer engagement through innovative, data-driven campaigns.

This role operates within a dynamic, matrix-driven environment and requires close collaboration across regional and functional teams. The Digital Commercial Transformation Lead role will be based in Gauteng with regular engagement across the HUB. Travel will be required to support customers, teams, and key stakeholders. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional partnership, effective communication, and the ability to lead with agility in a fast-paced and highly accountable commercial environment.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for digital accounts, including segmentation, targeting, call-to-action, and key messaging for selected portfolios.
  • Design and execute lead generation strategies using remote communication tools and marketing automation platforms.
  • Generate actionable insights through data analysis, reporting on campaign effectiveness, and making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing and sales performance.
  • Map and optimize the customer journey to ensure a seamless experience from awareness to conversion.
  • Produce and execute customer communication tailored to target audiences.
  • Support business development by identifying new opportunities and recommending enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Champion change management by promoting new ways of working and fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial organization, analytics, customer operations and marketing teams to achieve business objectives.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Bachelors degree with relevant experience.
  • Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Proven experience in marketing strategy, communication, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • Strong change management skills and openness to innovative approaches.
  • Experience with marketing automation tools and digital outreach platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in generating insights from data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software is highly advantageous in this role.
