The UK and Ireland Country Coordinator plays a pivotal role in driving and aligning country-specific priorities within the broader Pan-Medtronic strategy. This position ensures seamless coordination across multiple stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives and operational excellence at the country level. The Coordinator will work directly with the Senior Director and Country Lead, and closely with the wider Regional Leadership Team to support strategic planning and execution to ensure cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Strategic Coordination & Alignment

  • Act as the primary point of contact for country-specific initiatives, ensuring alignment with Pan-Medtronic objectives, global strategies, and organisational priorities
  • Support the Senior Director and Country Lead in the development and implementation of country-level plans, with line management and day-to-day coordination of Internal Office Support, Purchase to Pay, and Programme Management teams

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with the Government Affairs Lead, Regional Leadership Team, Operating Units, and Councils to manage regulatory, policy, compliance, and cross-functional integration requirements
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to enable effective communication, decision-making, and execution

Programme & Project Management

  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of country-level programmes and projects, ensuring delivery against timelines, budgets, deliverables, and quality standards
  • Track progress against milestones, identify and resolve risks or issues, manage schedules and reporting, and provide effective liaison across project teams and line management

Communication & Operational Excellence

  • Deliver clear, timely reporting and presentations to senior leadership while driving process improvements, operational efficiency, and compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or humanities discipline
  • Proven experience in multi-stakeholder project delivery, coordination, and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and strategic initiatives concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong capability to translate ideas and strategy into detailed implementation, delivery, and measurable outcomes
  • Experience in line management and/or mentoring of junior staff, including objective setting and KPI management
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability to changing country and organisational priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
