You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.As a Senior Training & Education Specialist for the CAS TURMECA Region, you will execute an effective strategy for Health Care Professionals (HCP) and Internal Training & Education (T&E) within the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) Operational Unit (OU). The role focuses on promoting the Medtronic (MDT) brand and therapies, with particular emphasis on AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™ innovative technologies for cardiac tachyarrhythmia treatment. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS technologies thrugh external education, delivering internal education programs for CAS Technical Consultants, and providing expert-level technical support to new centers during AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™ launches, including expert’ level mapping support of cases in the Cath Lab and new mappers certification. This important role reports to the Cath Lab Technologies T&E Leader and requires willingness to travel up to 40% of the time (approximately 30% within the cluster and 10% internationally).
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Plan, deliver, and continuously improve regional Training & Education programs across the TURMECA region, with a focus on AFFERA™ and PulseSelect™, aligned with Corporate and CAS OU strategies
- Conduct hands-on AFFERA™ simulator trainings at the Medtronic Innovation Center (MIC) in Istanbul and ensure technical readiness of assigned simulators
- Provide expert clinical and technical support on the AFFERA™ Mapping and Ablation System, acting as a regional super-mapper and supporting certification of new mappers
- Lead training needs assessments and contribute to the development, review, and update of CAS T&E curricula and training materials, including support for new product launches
- Support the opening of new AFFERA™ centers with technical and T&E expertise (case support limited to ≤20% of working time)
- Build strong partnerships with CAS OUs, commercial and marketing teams, regional faculty, and T&E teams across TURMECA and ACEE regions
- Ensure accurate training records, timely reporting of market, competitive, and customer insights, and compliance with all internal, regulatory, and quality requirements
Minimal Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Engineering, or related scientific field (Master’s degree or MD are strongly preferred)
- Native Turkish or C1 level; fluent English (written and spoken, minimum B1)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) experience, including at least 2 years of independent EP mapping support
- Medical device industry experience (e.g., Technical Consultant or Sales Representative) preferred
- Strong knowledge of Cardiac EP at AHP level (IBHRE or relevant cardiology/arrhythmology certifications are a plus)
- Experience in training, education, or project management, including audience presentations; familiarity with e-learning, curriculum development, instructional design, or simulation-based training is an advantage
- Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and multinational teams
