A Day in the Life

As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in global Finance and Accounting while supporting key revenue testing activities and external audit processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an international environment, contributing to real-world business operations and process improvement initiatives. This internship offers the opportunity to develop practical skills, gain mentorship from experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation for your future career in Finance and Accounting.

Internship details:
• Start date: February/March 2026
• Location: Heerlen, the Netherlands
• Duration: 20 weeks
• Working hours: 40 hours per week
• Work model: hybrid (2 days in the office)

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Revenue testing support: Collect, validate, and upload invoices, purchase orders, pricing documents, and proofs of delivery/payment. Retrieve missing items from relevant teams and escalate delays as needed.
• Collection monitoring: Support weekly tracking of customer payments, request and validate proofs from collections, and ensure documentation is properly uploaded for audit purposes.
• Audit support: Assist in responding to auditor requests by helping identify required documentation and the right internal contacts, supporting accurate revenue recognition processes.
• Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure audits are completed on time and with no qualifications from auditors.
• Process improvement: Contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives. Support AI validation tool development and accuracy improvements, analyse auditor follow-up questions, and proactively find ways to streamline the revenue testing and audit process.

Required Knowledge and Skills:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Fluency in English
• Interest in global finance and external reporting
• Proactive team player with strong attention to detail and a sense of ownership
