A Day in the Life
We are seeking a seasoned Principal IT Project Lead/Manager with demonstrated expertise in large-scale vendor implementations to lead a critical enterprise initiative. In this full-time role, you will spearhead the transition of our Regulatory Information Management application from our current cloud SaaS platform to a newly selected cloud SaaS vendor—a complex, high-impact program requiring strategic oversight and meticulous execution.At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. A day in the life:
Operating within a matrixed organizational structure, you will collaborate with both internal stakeholders and sourced team members to ensure the accurate capture and configuration of internal requirements with the new vendor. You will manage the comprehensive mapping and migration of data and documents from our legacy systems to the new platform, maintaining data integrity throughout the transition. Additionally, you will be accountable for accurate program reporting and rigorous quality assurance protocols to ensure flawless delivery.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from industries subject to stringent, validated government Regulatory regulations and reporting standards. You will be trained in and expected to conform to Medtronic's System Compliance Methodology, ensuring all project activities meet our validation requirements. Experience and proficiency in managing and reporting through Planisware and PowerBI will be considered a bonus factor, as it will become essential to success in this role.

In this role you will:
Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in global initiatives across functional and regional organizations.
Develops and manages all facets of the project(s) from intake through implementation and closure.
Accountable for the successful implementation of the outcomes derived through the change through effective organization and leadership, business case and benefits management, stakeholder management, risk management and issue resolution, planning and control, change management and quality management.
Ensures the project adheres to all Corporate and IT policies and standards.
Responsible for effectively managing the constraints of project management: Scope, Cost, Schedule.
Provides technical and analytical guidance and recommendations to leadership governance bodies.
Keeps current on advances and best practices in project management methodologies.
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years demonstrated experience in project management, or advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and 3+ years of demonstrated experience in project management.
Nice to Have:
Proven experience in FDA/Govt regulationed industry
Proficiency managing and reporting through Planisware and PowerBI
Experience in large scale data migration
Experience managing multiple vendor relationships on the same project (application vendors with cloud data)

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
