As a Senior Consultant in Medtronic Integrated Health Solutions (IHS), you will work closely with clinical leaders and hospital management across healthcare systems characterized by strong professional cultures, multiple stakeholders, and competing priorities. Success in this role requires curiosity and humility, combined with a disciplined approach to understanding how hospitals operate in practice. You will ask the right questions, build system-level insight, and translate that understanding into focused initiatives that improve patient flow, capacity utilization, and cross-functional collaboration. You will balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, partnering with clinicians and decision-makers to co-create solutions, support change management, and ensure sustainable impact in complex, real-world healthcare settings. The workplace is primarily Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark but can also be in other Nordic countries (travel up to 25% of the time).
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Work closely with strategic hospital accounts, contributing to long-term collaborations while driving complex transformation initiatives in environments where priorities are not always aligned, and where progress depends on building trust, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and navigating professional autonomy at multiple organizational levels
- Identify, clarify, and frame improvement opportunities in close collaboration with clinical and administrative leaders. You will establish pragmatic roadmaps and develop actionable plans that create measurable operational and financial value
- Engage stakeholders across organizational levels and invest time in understanding the values, decision-making processes, and cultural dynamics of each hospital system
- Lead and contribute to projects such as optimizing room utilization, strengthening planning and scheduling processes, and improving patient flow and patient pathways – ensuring that proposed solutions are realistic, implementable, and anchored in daily practice
- Capture learning and best practices and contribute to strengthening the Medtronic consulting toolbox through practical experience and knowledge sharing
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Master’s degree + 4+ years’ consulting/advisory experience (or equivalent in complex organizations)
- Proven ability to structure problems and deliver practical, implementable solutions
- Experience driving change in strong professional cultures
- Strong analytical skills (advanced Excel, data-driven problem solving)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Danish
- Healthcare experience and ability to work in international/matrix environments (preferred)
