A Sr. Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production while meeting quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role provides direct leadership to supervisors, team leaders, and operators, driving operational excellence through strong people leadership, financial acumen, and continuous improvement. The Senior Manufacturing Supervisor oversees production execution, labor and capacity management, and performance against key manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, labor efficiency, OEE, and cycle time. The role partners closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve issues, support New Product Introductions, line transfers, and capacity expansions, and ensure alignment with site and business financial targets. This position is also accountable for developing talent, managing change, fostering employee engagement, and promoting a culture of safety, ethics, and accountability. Through data-driven decision-making and lean methodologies, the senior manufacturing supervisor translates operational improvements into sustainable financial and business results.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
  • Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
  • Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.
  • Functional Skills: Machining and Manufacturing Technologies, Proficient computer skills, Data Science and Analysis, Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement, Managing Quality.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Requires 3+ years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have

  • BS in Engineering or Management
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt or Green Belt)
  • Strong knowledge of financial acumen as labor costs management including staffing optimization, overtime control and shift and schedule efficiency.
  • Ability to analyze and take action on key manufacturing KPIs such as throughput, labor efficiency, capacity utilization, and cycle time.
  • Proficient in OEE analysis to sustain stable operations and achieve labor efficiency targets.
  • Experience applying Continuous Improvement methodologies and Lean initiatives, translating operational gains into measurable financial impact.
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, labor modeling, and production scheduling aligned with financial objectives.
  • Demonstrated strength in data‑driven decision making and strategic thinking to proactively mitigate risks to targets.
  • Proven experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team leaders and high‑potential talent.
  • Demonstrated success managing change, performance improvement, and employee engagement
  • Experience managing people, which includes managing performance, accountability, development and coaching.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with team members, peers, and cross‑functional support teams.
  • Demonstrates the ability to foster a culture of ethics and integrity while promoting a positive, collaborative work environment.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), line transfers, process flow or scale‑up activities.
  • Knowledge in MPS tools such as Live Link and Pitch Tracker.
  • Skilled using Power BI, Global Factory Works, Pentaho, and Excel data analysis tools.
  • Regularly performs or supports quality, safety, and productivity Gemba inspections in line with established targets.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
