Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) enables hospitals and health systems to strengthen operational performance, redesign clinical pathways, integrate digital capabilities, and build sustainable transformation routines.
Within the Enterprise Account & IHS strategy, consulting services are a core lever to:
Create new sources of value for customers
Enable faster adoption of innovation
Strengthen enterprise-level partnerships
Position Medtronic as a transformation partner
IHS operates through a modular transformation architecture refined across hundreds of partnerships and supported by a global consulting backbone.
Role Overview:
The Managing Consultant builds, sells, and delivers IHS consulting services in the assigned market.
The role combines:
Business development responsibility
Executive engagement
Diagnostic and transformation leadership
Direct delivery ownership
Operating in build mode, the Managing Consultant will:
Originate and shape engagements
Lead diagnostics
Deliver transformation modules
Establish IHS credibility locally
As revenue scales, the role will support recruitment and mentoring of junior consultants in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Development & Commercial Contribution
Engage hospital C-suite and senior clinical leaders.
Identify performance gaps and transformation opportunities.
Shape and structure diagnostic and transformation proposals.
Contribute directly to pipeline generation and revenue growth.
Support broader EA&IHS enterprise partnerships.
Accountability includes revenue contribution and pipeline build.
2. Transformation Delivery
Lead short diagnostic engagements (2–3 weeks).
Develop structured transformation roadmaps.
Deliver programs across:
o Operational flow and throughput optimization
o Perioperative and cath lab performance
o Clinical pathway redesign
o Digital enablement and performance transparency
o Ambulatory and beyond-hospital models
Establish KPIs, governance routines, and performance management systems.
Deliver measurable operational and financial impact.
3. Integration with Global IHS Platform
Deploy established IHS methodologies and modular assets.
Work closely with EMEA consulting experts.
Leverage central analytics, digital platforms, and benchmarking tools.
Contribute local learning into the global IHS ecosystem.
The role adapts and deploys a proven transformation architecture locally.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
7–10 years of experience in healthcare consulting or hospital transformation.
Experience equivalent to Engagement Manager / Senior Manager level.
Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements independently.
Exposure to business development or proposal shaping.
Strong executive communication capability.
Analytical rigor combined with pragmatic execution.
Comfortable operating with autonomy in early-stage market environments.
Preferred backgrounds:
Tier-1 or leading healthcare boutique consulting firms.
Big 4 healthcare advisory (Engagement Manager/Senior Manager/Associate director level).
Hospital operations leaders with structured transformation experience.
