A Day in the Life
As an IT MA&D Infrastructure Business Analyst in Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures (MA&D), your primary role is to support teams and stakeholders in delivering successful infrastructure integration initiatives within a complex and evolving business environment.This role assists the Infrastructure Integration Lead by supporting infrastructure-related analysis and coordination activities, including business analysis, options analysis, tracking progress against timelines, and stakeholder communications.
The role plays a key part in supporting the planning and execution of technology and infrastructure-related activities during a merger, acquisition, or divestiture. The focus is on ensuring a smooth infrastructure transition and contributing to outcomes such as seamless system integration, improved operational efficiency, and overall effectiveness.
Success in this role requires strong coordination and communication across cross-functional teams, including collaboration with project managers, business stakeholders, IT infrastructure teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of IT infrastructure integration activities during M&A or divestiture initiatives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive infrastructure integration plans aligned with the overall business strategy, covering infrastructure consolidation, network readiness, hosting environments, data migration dependencies, security, and workforce enablement.
- Conduct IT due diligence with a focus on infrastructure landscape, including networks, hosting, cloud environments, end-user computing, and security.
- Identify potential risks, synergies, costs, and integration challenges related to infrastructure and connectivity.
- Build effective partnerships with IT infrastructure leaders, Corporate Development, Program Management, business stakeholders, and external partners.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between infrastructure teams, application teams, business users, and vendors to ensure aligned solution design and execution.
- Coordinate closely with the Deal Contracts and Agreements Manager.
- Assist in program delivery and value realization, ensuring measurable business outcomes from infrastructure integration.
- Support coordination of integration activities across infrastructure and application landscapes, ensuring readiness for platforms such as SAP, Workday, Salesforce, and other enterprise systems.
- Track progress using tools such as Excel, JIRA, Smartsheet, and MS Project.
- Maintain dashboards, status reports, and documentation in Confluence or similar tools.
- Manage milestones, risks, dependencies, and budgets, providing timely updates and executive-level communication.
- Support overall project coordination, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
- Support and coordinate testing activities from an infrastructure perspective, including environment readiness, connectivity validation, access provisioning, and UAT coordination.
- Help identify and resolve integration challenges related to infrastructure compatibility, data flows, system access, and performance.
- Assist in planning and execution of cutover, go-live, and post-go-live activities, ensuring infrastructure readiness and stability.
- Coordinate with change management and training teams to support smooth transition and user enablement.
- Gather and document requirements for infrastructure-related changes and integrations.
- Perform business and options analysis to support decision-making.
- Prepare communication materials and executive updates summarizing status, risks, milestones, and key decisions.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in in project coordination, business analysis, or application-related roles with a Bachelors Degree in engineering or MCA or MSc.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure integration, project coordination or business analysis.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure domains.
- Experience supporting IT due diligence, infrastructure consolidation, migration planning, and cutover readiness activities.
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Understanding of enterprise system integration concepts, including readiness for platforms such as SAP, Workday, Salesforce, and other critical business applications.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Excel, Planisware, JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.
- Proven ability to work as a team player, delivering quality results within defined timelines.
- Understanding of application lifecycle processes and system integration concepts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
