A Day in the Life
The Sr. Facilities Manager – Cluster Lead is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of multiple sites across different countries. This role partners with the Regional Facilities Director, local Facilities Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure consistent standards, operational excellence, and alignment with global business objectives. The position requires strong leadership of a geographically dispersed team, balancing regional needs with global strategy.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Provide strategic leadership and execution for multi-country facilities operations, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional regulations, and enabling strong communication between global leadership and local teams
- Lead and develop a multi-layered, international organization of Facilities Managers, supervisors, and technical professionals, fostering accountability, inclusion, high performance, and effective remote collaboration across time zones and cultures
- Drive cross-cultural collaboration and stakeholder management, using strong communication, influencing skills, and data-driven decision making to align diverse global stakeholders
- Oversee the full lifecycle of facilities—including design, planning, construction, maintenance, security, janitorial, and grounds services—leveraging expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, critical infrastructure, BAS, and CMMS systems
- Lead project and program management initiatives across sites, including workplace and space planning, expansion, and continuous improvement efforts focused on sustainability and operational efficiency
- Develop and manage financials across multiple sites, including budgets, capital planning, resource allocation, and forecasting, with detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Drive standardization of processes, policies, and best practices with appropriate local adaptation; ensure effective contract/vendor management; maintain HSE compliance; and monitor performance through KPIs to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent international qualification) required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant facilities management experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven experience managing multi-site, multi-country operations
- Strong understanding of regional regulatory environments and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated success in leading international teams and driving large-scale operational initiatives
