A Day in the Life

Familiar with NPI / PDP process

As a Senior Business Process Project Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence by leading cross-functional initiatives that improve key business processes across our Danvers site. This is a high-impact role where strategy meets execution, and where your work directly supports the delivery of life-saving medical technologies.

In this role, you will lead and support complex, cross-functional projects that enhance business performance, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness. You will serve as a key connector across teams—ensuring alignment, visibility, and successful execution from project initiation through delivery.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Lead or leverage cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects tied to key business processes

  • Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Serve as a liaison between project management, project teams, planning functions, and line management

  • Monitor projects from initiation through completion, ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met

  • Review project status, budgets, and schedules; proactively identify risks and provide updates to stakeholders

  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise status reports to leadership and key stakeholders

  • Assess project challenges and develop effective resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals

  • Establish and implement mechanisms to monitor project progress and performance

  • Drive problem-solving and intervention strategies in collaboration with project managers, functional leaders, and stakeholders

Must-Have (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR

  • Advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience

Nice to Have (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Direct experience working within medical device industry

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives within a manufacturing or regulated environment (e.g., medical device, pharma)

  • Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept to manufacturing

  • Strong project management skills (Agile, PMP, or equivalent methodologies preferred)

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities

  • Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$89,600.00 - $134,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns. Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
