A Day in the Life

The FP&A Consultant will serve as the FP&A leader for Revenue and Expense activities across the Service & Repair function. This leader will drive financial discipline, transparency and decision support to enable sustainable growth in a critical focus area for Medtronic.

Reporting to the FP&A Director, the role partners closely with Service & Repair leaders as a trusted advisor, providing forward looking analysis and scenario modeling that informs strategic and operational outcomes. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of the fast growing, global S&R business growing double digit topline/bottom line and on track to double revenue in 5 years.

  • Own and manage the FP&A calendar for Service and Repair finance team, ensuring alignment on timelines and deliverables (forecasting, reporting, planning)
  • Partner with S&R finance leads to establish virtual Service and Repair business P&Ls
  • Align teammates on targets, assumptions, standards and outputs across all planning and reporting cycles to establish accurate plans and insights
  • Consolidate and analyze revenue and operating expenses to ensure alignment with financial targets and enterprise priorities

  • Navigate change effectively and adapt to evolving business needs
  • Positive mindset to manage incomplete data and drive improvements
  • Identify and implement templates, reports and process improvements in environments with ambiguous or incomplete data
  • Develop and maintain standardized reporting, KPIs, and dashboards to improve expense visibility and accountability
  • Support long‑range planning and investment decisions with strategic financial modeling
  • Evolve from transactional reporting to trusted advisor by influencing decisions in these functions

Required:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities with experience preparing materials for senior leaders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Hyperion, Anaplan, Power BI/Tableau).

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related roles.
  • MBA, CPA, or CFA designation.
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization (e.g., MedTech, manufacturing, or commercial operations).
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$133,600.00 - $200,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
